Meet the Precision Staff

Brad McKee

Wrestling has been a part of my life for more than 21 years. I competed throughout high school before continuing my career at the collegiate level, where I wrestled four years at an NCAA Division II program and started at the 133-lb weight class.

Following my competitive career, I remained deeply involved in the sport through coaching, serving as both a head coach and assistant coach while working alongside some of the top coaches in the state. I have also attended collegiate camps with some of the nation’s most respected coaches, including John Smith, continually seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge of the sport and better develop the athletes I coach.

While wrestling has shaped much of my life, my greatest accomplishment is becoming a father to an incredible little boy. That perspective fuels my passion for mentoring young athletes and helping them grow both on and off the mat.

My goal has never been simply to build a successful club, but to help grow the sport of wrestling across North Carolina. The state is on the rise, and there has never been a better time to be part of its future.

Eric Overkamp

My name is Eric Overkamp, and I’m excited to help coach with Precision Wrestling Academy. I’ve been involved with the club since the beginning through my son’s participation, and it’s been great to watch the program grow. I wrestled in high school and have continued my passion for the sport by mentoring and supporting young athletes. Last summer I helped take several wrestlers to Appalachian State Wrestling Camp, and I served as an assistant wrestling coach this past school season.

Coming from a military background, I value discipline, hard work, and accountability. I believe wrestling is a sport that rewards the effort you put in, and I enjoy helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and character. Building relationships with the kids and watching them grow both on and off the mat is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching.

Elijah Whitaker

I’ve been coaching wrestling for over seven years, including the past two years at the middle school level. As a former wrestler, I developed a deep respect and passion for the sport, which naturally led me into coaching and mentoring young athletes.

My coaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals, discipline, and mental toughness. I emphasize proper technique, consistent effort, and the importance of sportsmanship, while creating a positive and competitive environment where athletes can grow. I believe wrestling is not just about winning matches, but about developing character, resilience, and confidence.

My goal is to motivate each wrestler to reach their full potential, both on and off the mat, and to help them carry the lessons they learn in wrestling into all areas of life.
